Benjamin's teeth

When Elizabeth and I got home from Philadelphia Benjamin had 2 very loose teeth to show us. One was barely hanging on, but he wasn't comfortable pulling it out. When he woke up in the morning it was gone. Maybe it is in his bed somewhere or he might have swallowed it. The other bottom tooth had become pretty loose too. While he was eating and moving it around with his tongue and wiggling the tooth, it was almost out. At bedtime he was brushing his teeth with Daddy and pulled it out!! Two teeth in one day! We wrote a note to the tooth fairy to let her know the first one was missing. The second was tucked securly under his pillow. He awoke the next morning to some dollar bills and coins!
Today we had our second trip to the pediadontist where he was to get an upper molar cavity fixed. For whatever reason he was born with baby teeth that don't have much enamel. Therefore, a simple cavity filling would not hold up in his fragile teeth. So at the dentist today he received a pediatric "root canal" with a stainless steel cap on his tooth. He calls it his gold tooth although it is all silver! The left side of his mouth was numb, so it cracked us up to see him smile or laugh with only one side of his mouth. He was given Nitrous Oxide or laughing gas as most people know it which helped him relax and do AMAZINGLY well with the procedure and xrays. Apparently he has another cavity on the bottom of the left side. The hygenist thinks that one will just be a regular cavity filling. We will head back in August for that. Let's hope it is the last one.
