I am on a ROLL

Since I have finally figured out how to do this without mistakes I am just going to catch up on my blogging.
Here are pictures of Lake Sherwood once again. We went out there this past Thurs. It was an awesome day! The weather was gorgeous and we had the place to ourselves, well sort of, Julie, Annabelle and Jack were there too. We went to the beach for a few hours and the kids really loved playing in the sand. We went on several boat rides and did lots of swimming. It is so peaceful out there and such a great place to relax.
On Monday we took the Metrolink to the the Arch grounds. We had lunch at the Old Spaghetti Factory and then walked along the riverfront. It was amazing to see how much it had flooded and was still flooded. The kids enjoyed watching the river as its current looked pretty fast. We walked up all 64 steps to the Arch. We went inside, but not up it. I guess I haven't been there since 9/11 because the security stuff was all new to me-I felt like I was at the airport. We will have to go back sometime and take the infamous ride to the top of the arch.

The Mathews came to town

My good friend Sandy was in town for 2 weeks in June and July. She has 3 boys Zach,6, Colby, almost 4 and Nolan, 18months. Our kids had so much fun playing together. Zach and Benjamin were like two peas in a pod. It was really fun watching all of them interact. We had fun playing at Tilles Park, Monkey Joes, our house, and Des Peres Park. They live in Houston, so we only see each other about once a year. We hope to see them again soon cause we miss them so much already.

The wading pool at Tower Grove Park

Here are a few pictures from our day at Tower Grove Park. The weather was great and the water was refreshing. (I don't know why this only let me put only a few pictures in at a time). That place is really cool. The wading pool was Micah's favorite as he loved to splash around. Plus there are playgrounds which we hung out at after swimming. We will have to go back soon.
