Elizabeth has had an eventful 2009 so far. She started dance class at the Community Center last Thurs. The class is nine weeks and 45mins. each class. Once a week about 5-6 three and four year old take a ballet/dance class. It is super cute and the girls are so fun to watch. Elizabeth has been extremely shy and usually just stands next to me (the mom's stay in the class and watch). Today, however, she braved new ground and participated in some circle stuff with the teacher and other girls. I think she's the youngest in the class. Hopefully, each week she will become more comfortable.
Today she started Mother's Day Out at a Baptist church near our house. She goes every Tues. and Thurs. from 9am to 3pm!!! She has playtime, storytime, crafts, lunch and naptime. Today was bear day. She told me they went on a bear hunt as soon as I walked in the door to get her. She made and adorable bear with her picture in the middle! Her teachers seem really nice and said she had a great first day. She even slept at nap time. I think this is a great experience for her to learn how to socialize and I can have one on one time with Micah. Being down to one kid for a few hours is nice. I can't believe how fast they are growing up. Soon Micah will be in preschool. He actually could go to this MDO, but I don't think he needs to yet. I will probably send him in the fall.
